2015 Group Program SPDs and SMMs Available
Your 2015 NRECA Group Benefits Program summary plan description (SPD) and summary of material modifications (SMM) documents are now available on the Employee Benefits website. You should have received a Message Center alert directing you to the documents. Go to Document Library > Summary Plan Descriptions > Group Plan SPDs SMMs. Review the documents for accuracy and then distribute them to participants by March 2, 2015.
2015 Tips and Reminders
All cooperatives with NRECA medical plans received new SPDs for 2015. Co-ops with other plans in the NRECA Group Benefits Program received SMMs for 2015, unless the co-op changed its plan elections or enrolled in a new benefit plan during annual renewal, in which case your co-op received a full SPD instead of an SMM.
- A table summarizing the changes by plan is available on the Employee Benefits website. This table helps you locate the sections of each document that are new or different.
- Distribution acknowledgment is required. As soon as you give out the SPDs and SMMs to your employees, fill out the online distribution and acknowledgment form for each plan. A link to this page also was in the Message Center alert you received in December.
- SPDs for plans with special or exception designs will continue to be deployed during January and will be posted by January 31.
