The NRECA Board’s Insurance & Financial Services Committee in June made changes to the Retirement Security Plan funding practices that will impact the Pension Restoration Plan (PRP).Beginning January 1, 2015, the PRP will not accept new participants or plans. Cooperatives that already sponsor PRPs or that establish PRPs before December 31, 2014, will be “grandfathered” if they meet certain eligibility requirements.
