OneExchange Name Changing to Via Benefits
On March 1, 2018, the name of OneExchange, the national Medicare benefits exchange that supports NRECA’s Retiree Insurance Solutions program, will change to Via Benefits. While the quality of products and services won’t change, the new name will better reflect the scope of services provided to Medicare-eligible individuals. There are no actions that benefits administrators or participants in NRECA’s Retiree Insurance Solutions program will need to take as a result of the change.
On March 1, OneExchange’s websites and communication materials will be updated with the new Via Benefits name and branding. The new URL for the Via Benefits/NRECA website will be my.viabenefits.com/nreca; however, individuals using the former URL will be automatically redirected to the new site.
Participant communication
During February, OneExchange will announce the new name to program participants by email—for those who agreed to receive email communications—and by postcard to all other participants. Here’s a sample of the postcard that will be mailed to the homes of individuals who can’t be reached by email. The postcard and email are legitimate communications from OneExchange announcing the new name and won’t ask individuals to take any action.
There also will be ongoing reminders in regular communications throughout 2018. The former brand, OneExchange, will be referenced for one year after the transition in spoken and written materials.
NRECA also will update Retiree Insurance Solution materials in the BA Guide on the Employee Benefits website to reflect the new name change by March 1.
