New Role-based Disability Pages Help Participants Better Understand Their Plans

New role-based pages that educate participants on NRECA short-term and long-term disability plans are now available on the Employee Benefits website. Participants have access to the Short-term Disability and Long-term Disability pages based on their plan enrollment—they will see the link to a page under the Plan Overview section of the My Insurance megamenu only if they are enrolled in that plan.

The pages help participants understand when they are eligible for disability coverage, how to apply for it and what their responsibilities are when they are on short-term or long-term disability. They provide details on coverage and plan provisions. Information participants need to know on benefit deductions, taxes and payments also is highlighted. Relevant forms are available to download and use in the Resources section of the pages.
