Insulin Pumps and Glucose Monitor Coverage Expanded to Prescription Drug Benefit

Traditional insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors, as well as related supplies, are now covered under the NRECA Medical Plan’s prescription drug benefit, as well as the medical benefit. Previously, the devices were covered only under the medical benefit. Participants can now get these devices through a durable medical equipment supplier under the medical benefit, as they did previously, or through a pharmacy under the prescription drug benefit.
