Have You Sent Your 2015 SPD and SMM Distribution Acknowledgment Forms?

March 2 was the deadline to distribute summary plan description (SPD) and summary of material modifications (SMM) documents for your NRECA group benefit plans. After you distribute the notices, please help us keep your benefit plans in compliance by filling out the SPD and SMM distribution and acknowledgement form located on the Employee Benefits website. You can acknowledge all your plans at the same time on one form.

SPD/SMM Resources:

• A list of SPD and SMM sections that have changed for 2015 is on the Employee Benefits website.
• Consult the Employee Benefits website if you need information on how to distribute your SPDs electronically.

Special acknowledgement reminders:

• If you didn’t distribute SPDs for one of your plans because it has no participants, fill in zero (0) on the form for the number of participants.
• Don’t forget the Number of Participants Who Are Not Literate in English section of the acknowledgement. This number is different from the Number of Participants Enrolled, which refers to all participants enrolled in the plan regardless of English literacy.
