New Guides Help with Online Annual Enrollment

2016 annual enrollment for NRECA’s group benefit plans opens Thursday, October 29. Two new guides can help your employees and you through the online annual enrollment process on the Employee Benefits website.

The Annual Enrollment Guide for 2016 provides instructions and screenshots that walk your employees through the online annual enrollment process. It shows each step they need to take to elect their benefits for 2016 and how they can revise dependent information.

The Cooperative.com Registration Guide helps employees who are having trouble getting into the site. It provides step-by-step registration instructions for anyone who has never registered on Cooperative.com. For people who are registered on the site, the guide explains how to retrieve their username and reset their passwords and security questions.

Updating dependent SSNs
To help with your Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax reporting requirements, the annual enrollment guide highlights and encourages employees to update dependent Social Security numbers (SSN).

A message also will remind benefits administrators about updating dependent SSNs each time they access the annual enrollment page.

Note: Employees and BAs follow the same steps, as shown in the annual enrollment guide, to revise dependent information.

For online annual enrollment, employees go to My Insurance > Annual Enrollment. To make annual enrollment changes, BAs go to Employee Administration > Annual Enrollment for Employees.

If you have questions about online annual enrollment, speak with your field representative. You also can contact the Member Contact Center at 866.673.2299 or contactcenter@nreca.coop.
