A Look into the Future(Me)

As you plan your well-being initiatives and look ahead to 2024, remember that NRECA’s FutureMe program is available to support your cooperative with a variety of resources.

NRECA Medical Plan participants can continue to access FutureMe coaching, tools to help manage and track their health, a library of content and more—all geared to help boost their physical, mental and financial well-being.

We’re also excited to present new themes, challenges and webinars for next year. Be sure to mark your calendars with the following activities and dates below—or simply print the 2024 FutureMe Calendar, available in the BA Guide.

Quarterly themes
Each quarter we’ll highlight an important topic that pertains to a particular aspect of well-being. Before the start of each quarter, you’ll receive information about materials you can use to promote at your co-op.

  • First (January – March): Healthy habits
  • Second (April – June): Mental health
  • Third (July – September): Chronic conditions
  • Fourth (October – December): Weight management

Challenges
Cooperatives that elected FutureMe rewards during the recent annual renewal period are automatically eligible for all challenges. Other co-ops can request eligibility via futureme@nreca.coop at least 30 days before registration opens. The 2024 challenges are:

  • Stress Less: February 28 – March 26
  • Five to Thrive (a focus on eating fruits and vegetables): May 1 – 28
  • The Invitational Steps Challenge: October 9 – November 12

Webinars
These live webinars are tied to the quarterly themes. You’re encouraged to register and invite your employees to attend at your co-op. They’ll also be recorded and available on-demand via the FutureMe portal.

  • Dealing with Sleep Issues – February 1
  • Living Well with Stress – May 1
  • Diabetes Awareness – August 1
  • Ways to Lose Weight Without Dieting – November 6
