Updated Information Use Policy Mailing
NRECA has recently updated its information use policy. NRECA’s information use policy allows for the delivery of information regarding services to cooperatives and their employees. These services can include invitations to conferences, role-specific content online or other opportunities that may be of interest or benefit to co-op employees. NRECA is committed to ensuring employee information is accessible only by authorized parties.
To notify co-op employees of the policy, NRECA is mailing a postcard that outlines the policy’s updates as well as provide information on where the full policy can be located online. Postcard recipients will also be informed how to exercise the opt out option for the use of their personal information.
The policy can be viewed by going online to Cooperative.com/InfoPolicy. Co-op employees wishing to opt out of having their personal information used for outreach on products, events and services can do so by emailing nrecaoptout@nreca.coop. Information pertaining to an employee’s benefit program(s) will continue to be sent to the employee regardless of their decision to exercise the opt out option. Examples would include an explanation of benefit, retirement benefit statement or legally required notice.
If you have any questions about the policy or the upcoming mailing, please contact NRECA’s Member Contact Center at 866.673.2299. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7am to 7pm, CT.
