Submit 2021 Compliance Reporting Data by February 15
The mid-February reporting deadline is now less than two weeks away. The benefits compliance team uses your cooperative’s annual reporting data to perform nondiscrimination testing for the 401(k) Pension Plan and the Retirement Security Plan, as required by the Internal Revenue Service. To help prepare your data, the most comprehensive resource is the W-2 Salary Data & Retirement Compliance Questionnaire page of the BA Guide. There, you’ll find:
- The 2021 questionnaire.
- The Compliance Annual Reporting Resource Guide, which gives specifics about the W-2 salary submission and questionnaire data.
- The W-2 import file layout, and
- The 2021 Compliance Annual Reporting webinar, which walks you through the entire reporting process.
Once prepared, use the W-2 Salary Submission event to send your co-op’s W-2 salary data. Then send your completed questionnaire securely through the Message Center. Retain a full copy in your files for reference in the event the retirement compliance team has questions about your data after you submit it.
