Side Accounts Enhancements: Q&A Fliers Available Online

Cooperatives considering adopting the flexible spending account (FSA) carryover, Retiree HRA or new debit card can get more details about these features.

Fliers that answer questions about upcoming enhancements to certain types of tax-advantaged side accounts are now available on the Employee Benefits website. If your co-op is considering adopting any of these enhancements, the fliers provide details about how they will work and how they’ll be administered by CBA.

The Q&A documents address the new FSA carryover feature (for health flexible spending accounts and limited-use FSAs); the new Retiree HRA plan; and the new debit card feature (which can be used in conjunction with health FSAs and standard, or non-retiree, HRAs).

If you’re interested in simply sharing key facts about these enhancements with your co-op’s management or board members, additional “Top 5 Things for Co-ops to Know” fliers are also available for the FSA carryover, Retiree HRA and debit card.

Copies of the fliers will also be available at INTERACT conference in Miami (this week) and in Chicago (August 19-22).

If you have additional questions, NRECA is offering a series of webinars about the enhancements:

  • Retiree HRA: View and listen to the July 9 webinar online
  • FSA carryover: September 9, 2 pm ET
  • Debit card: September 16, 2 pm ET
