Rewards for Life Participants Are Sweet Enough Without Sugar

Congratulations to all who completed the Rewards for Life® program’s Slash the Sugar Challenge. The POWER Wellness team is proud of everyone who participated.

One thousand three hundred and ten participants worked hard to reduce their sugar consumption to one or less sugary treat a day, with 861 of these participants achieving that goal and receiving points in the Rewards for Life program. Very impressive!

Additionally, ten lucky challenge participants were selected at random to receive a $50 gift card and a NRECA lunch box. The winners were:

  1. Dwight Waters, GreyStone Power
  2. Ebonet Cintron-Hawes, GreyStone Power
  3. Barry Terrell, Peace River Electric
  4. Christopher Parker, Consolidated Cooperative
  5. Shyhiem Carter, Coastal EMC
  6. Robyn Sonstegard, North Star Electric Co-op
  7. Jessica Christensen, Dixie Power
  8. Cathy Farquhar, HILCO Electric Cooperative Inc
  9. Clayton Barber, Roosevelt County Electric
  10. Collin Novotny, Flathead Electric

NRECA’s POWER Wellness team congratulates the winners and every single participant for fighting their sugar cravings to improve their health and well-being!

We hope you’ll be up for our next challenge opportunity, the Cooperative Concern for Community Challenge, which challenges registrants to improve their communities by providing 300 minutes (five hours) of service to their neighbors and communities. Rewards for Life program participants will receive an email in October with more information.

The Rewards for Life program is an incentive-tracking wellness program available at no additional cost to co-ops that participate in the NRECA Medical Plan. If your co-op would like to enroll in the Rewards for Life program to participate in a challenge, you must enroll your co-op at least two weeks before the beginning of that challenge.
