Retirement Security Plan: 2025 Rates Coming – NRECA Employee Benefits Weekly

NRECA is pleased to announce that there will be no increase to Retirement Security (RS) Plan “base billing” rates for 2025 and the administrative fee remains unchanged at 3% of the total contribution (before any prepayment adjustment). Please note changes in the average age of your co-op’s participants, or future plan changes, also affect your co-op’s annual cost. Therefore, your co-op’s specific contribution rate could change due to a change in your participant population or a modification of plan benefits.

CEOs and primary benefits administrators should look for their cooperative’s RS Plan contribution billing rates for 2025 to arrive via email starting August 9. The new rates will apply for the plan year beginning January 1, 2025.

As a reminder, this is not a bill. The only action required is to review the RS Plan rates for your co-op.
