Q4 Well-being Theme: Physical Activity

In the fourth quarter, NRECA’s focus is dedicated to physical activity. The resources we’re spotlighting are designed to support participants in their efforts to keep their bodies healthy and active, no matter their current fitness level.

Be sure to use the following resources to promote physical fitness at your co-op, especially as we move into the fall and cooler weather, when activity drops off for many people.

Find additional infographics and articles on the NRECA Employee Benefits website’s Get Moving page.

  • Active&Fit Direct offers all cooperative employees—not just NRECA Medical Plan participants—access to 11,000 fitness centers and 7,000 online workout videos for just $25 a month. There is no long-term contract required. Direct your employees to the National Discount Program page on cooperative.com (filter for Health & Wellness) to find more information.
  • Webinar: Fitness Through the Lifecycle. Mark your calendar and register your co-op for this December 1 webinar, which will cover the benefits of physical activity, recommendations for each age group and activity goals for individuals with a chronic illness or disability.
  • Joint & Spine Surgery Centers of Excellence can help NRECA Medical Plan participants who are slowed by injury or chronic pain to resume an active lifestyle by offering access to top doctors and medical facilities specializing in knee replacement, spinal fusion and other joint and spine surgeries, providing care coordination, in addition to travel benefits with no costs after the deductible is met.
