Q2 Well-being Theme: Mental Health
NRECA’s well-being focus for the second quarter centers on mental health, a vital component to a person’s overall well-being.
It’s important that cooperative employees have access to help for mental health needs they may be experiencing, whether anxiety, grief, depression, addiction or others.
The resources below are designed to support your employees’ mental health needs; share these at your co-op to educate them and bring awareness to what’s available through the NRECA Medical Plan.

- 4 Tips to Combat Loneliness. For starters, maintain strong relationships.
- Battling Burnout. What is burnout, and what steps can you take to overcome it?
- 10 Tips to Relieve Stress. Learn practical steps, like exercising regularly.
Programs and tools
- Teladoc Mental Health: New this year, the program offers NRECA Medical Plan participants short- or long-term care via phone consultations with a counselor, psychiatrist or psychologist.
- Life Strategy Counseling: Available to employees—and their dependents 18 and older—at co-ops that offer the NRECA Medical Plan, the program offers short-term counseling and a wealth of resources online.
- Find Care & Costs: This new tool on the Employee Benefits website allows participants to search for in-network counselors and other professionals.
Webinar
- Loneliness and Social Connectedness: Scheduled for June 8, this webinar will identify health risks associated with loneliness and outline the benefits of social connection and ways to decrease loneliness. Look for registration information in May.
