Q2 Well-Being Focus: Mental Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. NRECA’s second-quarter well-being theme showcases the importance of mental health and the available resources to support your employees’ mental well-being.

We encourage you to promote and raise awareness of mental health resources at your cooperative. Go to the FutureMe page in the BA Guide, under “2nd Quarter: Mental Health,” where you’ll find resources that can help participants with stress, depression, relationship conflicts, financial struggles, addiction and more.

Resources include the “Living Well with Stress” webinar scheduled for May 1, infographics and NRECA programs like Teladoc Health’s mental health service. Additionally, NRECA’s Life Strategy Counseling program offers services that management can use for support of your employees. For example, go to the Life Strategy Counseling page and click “Telus Health website”* (and go to “Services, resources for co-op managers.”) for access to articles, videos and audio recordings, featuring topics such as “Ways to Support Employees Who May Be Overloaded or Under Stress.”

Check out this video (under 2024 Well-Being Themes) that introduces our second quarter mental health theme and highlights available resources.

If you have any questions for the FutureMe team, email futureme@nreca.coop.

*Note: NRECA’s vendor partner for the Life Strategy Counseling program has changed its name from LifeWorks to Telus Health. The program’s resources and services all remain the same.
