Prescription Drug Coverage Updates Effective October 1, 2026

CVS Caremark^TM, NRECA’s pharmacy benefits manager, has announced changes to the NRECA Medical Plan’s prescription drug coverage that will take effect October 1, 2026.

CVS Caremark regularly reviews and updates the lists of covered drugs to help ensure participants have access to safe, reliable and affordable medications.

CVS Caremark will mail letters by August 1 to participants whose current prescriptions will be affected. These will outline coverage changes and provide steps for finding an alternative medication, if needed.

Beginning October 1, updated prescription drug lists will be available on the Drug Lists page in the BA Guide and on the View Drug Coverage Lists page for participants. These include the Performance Drug List, which features commonly prescribed brand-name and generic drugs.
