Prescription Assistance Coupon Processing

As a result of the recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare, certain prescription assistance coupons have not been able to be processed. NRECA has been in touch with our vendor partners, UnitedHealthcare and CVS Caremark, to understand the impact to NRECA Medical Plan participants.

Both UnitedHealthcare and CVS are aware of the issue and have indicated that a potential solution for coupons that are unable to be processed is to request new coupons (or coupon codes) from the coupon provider. In many instances, the pharmacy may be able to assist the participant with obtaining a new code or coupon.

Please share this information with your NRECA Medical Plan participants so they are aware of how to proceed should they encounter any issues with prescription drug coupon processing.
