Last Chance: Register to Attend the Retirement Preparedness Webinar

There’s still time to sign up for the retirement preparedness webinar! “Don’t Become a Statistic – Taking Charge of Your Retirement” is scheduled to run from 2 to 3 pm ET tomorrow, October 22. Led by Lori Slaboda, a member of NRECA’s Personal Investment & Retirement Consulting (PIRC) team, the webinar will provide an overview of retirement trends, discuss the key steps necessary for preparing for a secure retirement, and remind attendees of the variety of resources available from NRECA and PIRC to plan for retirement with confidence.

For cooperatives that prefer to promote retirement preparedness at different times in the year, the webinar will be archived on the Employee Benefits website, along with a suite of retirement awareness materials that can be used at any time. These include posters on the value of:

  • A 401(k) account designed for co-ops that offer a 401(k) match;
  • Investing in a 401(k) account for co-ops that don’t offer a match;
  • The Retirement Security Plan;
  • And, a poster for co-ops to use to advertise the webinar or any other retirement preparedness activities they have planned.

In addition, a collection of articles offering tips on retirement readiness that co-ops can use as content for email blasts, intranet sites, or newsletters is available on the website for use at any time.
