Participants Calling Teladoc May Experience Long Wait Times

NRECA Medical Plan participants contacting Teladoc for general medical consultations are currently experiencing longer than normal wait times to speak with a doctor. This is due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases and a significantly higher volume of consultation requests.  

Participants in need of immediate care during these longer than usual wait times should consider seeking care from other providers. If they are notified via email that their appointment was canceled but want to still speak with a Teladoc doctor, they should request another appointment and their call will be prioritized for the quickest possible response.

Teladoc is monitoring the situation and continues to actively recruit certified physicians to expand their network and address calls as promptly as possible.

This does not apply to Teladoc Mental Health, in which participants schedule a phone or video consultation via the Teladoc website or through the Teladoc app (available for iOS and Android).
