NRECA’s Employee Benefits Website Goes Mobile
NRECA’s Employee Benefits website offers plan participants access to their benefit program details, necessary forms and education. However, many cooperative employees provided feedback that having access to certain benefits information while “on the go” is increasingly important.
Now, the top features of the Employee Benefits website have been optimized for mobile access! Once a user has visited cooperative.com and logged into the “My Benefits” portion of the website, users can set up a shortcut icon on their mobile device to gain quicker access to certain site features that have been optimized for viewing on a smart phone.
Getting set up
Users can set up their mobile access in three quick steps:
- Open a web browser on the phone and go to cooperative.com; log into “My Benefits”
- Enter username and password and check the “Remember Me” box. If the user has not used the Employee Benefits website, they will first need to register
- Once logged in, a pop-up dialog box with instructions will appear to create a button/icon on the phone for the Employee Benefits website for future use [Note: if the dialog box doesn’t appear or the user wants to create the button/icon – Android users should tap the menu button and “Add to homescreen.” For iPhone users, click on the bookmark icon and tap “Add to Home Screen”
Note: The new experience is a mobile website, not an “app” – users will not be able to find/download an app through Google Play or Apple store.
Participants in NRECA’s group benefits program can now review insurance claims, find a medical professional through the “find a doctor” feature, view or request a health ID card and more easily via mobile. Participants in NRECA’s retirement programs can view statements, benefit information (Retirement Security Plan) and account balance information (401(k) Pension Plan) easily via mobile. Those with benefits administrator, financial or wellness coordinator access (who normally land on the administration dashboard on the full website), will only see their personal information upon log in when accessing the mobile website since this is used for quick access to your own benefits.
For additional information beyond the mobile access menu, all participants can click “Access Full Website” to go to the full Employee Benefits website.
