NRECA Notifying Retirees of Medicare Part D Drug Plan Changes

NRECA will send a mailing, beginning September 26, to your existing Medicare Part D prescription drug plan participants. This letter will inform them that the plan is ending, effective December 31, 2014.

With the termination of the Medicare Part D plan, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service mandates organizations use a template termination letter to notify existing plan participants when their coverage is ending. The letter will contain helpful information for retirees, including: resources to explore prescription drug plan options, key dates to help them plan accordingly and NRECA contact information if they have questions.

Additionally, a Summary of Material Modifications for the plan will be included as part of this mailing.

In addition to existing plan participants, NRECA is required to send the letter to current co-op employees who will enroll in Medicare prescription drug coverage between now and the end of 2014.

If you have questions, please email retireeinsurancesolutions@nreca.org. For any other questions about this action, please contact the Member Contact Center at 866.673.2299 or contactcenter@nreca.coop.
