New move SMART Resource Kit Now Available

Looking to help your employees kick 2015 off on the right foot? Need a new way to enhance your cooperative’s wellness program? Well – look no further! Now available is the latest offering in NRECA’s SMART product line – move SMART® . The new move SMART resource kit is now available on NRECA’s employee benefits website. Hard copies are available for ordering through the Member Contact Center.

Let move SMART help you promote wellness at your co-op and motivate your employees to live an active, safe lifestyle at work and home. Research shows that a lack of physical activity is directly tied to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and breast cancer and colon cancer (source: Division of Preventive Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston).

The resource kit’s content includes educational videos, tips on strength training, burning calories and staying active on a budget. Need help increasing awareness? Posters and table tent cards are available to help you promote move SMART. These materials can easily be rolled into an existing wellness program at your co-op or used to help launch a new wellness program. You can always customize your own program by pulling from available kit components and mixing them with your own material.
