Network Logos on Health ID Cards

Participants aren’t required to do anything to access benefits provided by these other networks.

In addition to the primary network on the front of their new health ID cards, participants will see one or two other network logos on the back of their cards. Participants aren’t required to do anything to access benefits through these networks.

Secondary network logos
A First Health or MultiPlan network logo also appears on the back of health ID cards. This secondary network provides cost containment opportunities. Out-of-network claims are automatically passed through this network for potential discounts. Covered charges are paid at the out-of-network benefit level and aren’t subject to reasonable and customary charges.

Affiliated network logos
For participants located in some ZIP codes, there’s an affiliated PPO network tied to the primary network. In these cases, another network logo such as Beechstreet (for certain ZIP codes in Alaska) or TLC Advantage (for certain ZIP codes in South Dakota) also will appear on the back of the health ID card. These logos are strictly for provider use. Participants should only look for in-network providers using Find a Doctor on the Employee Benefits website and not the affiliated network sites.

As always, we encourage participants to show their health ID cards whenever they visit a health care provider.
