Letter to Participants to Encourage 90-day Supply Prescriptions

CVS Caremark^®, NRECA’s pharmacy benefit manager, is sending a letter on May 15 outlining the value of filling a 90-day supply prescription.

The letter will be sent only to NRECA Medical Plan participants who are filling a 30-day supply prescription on maintenance medications when a 90-supply is an available option.

A 90-day supply typically costs less than three 30-day supply prescriptions. Participants can get a 90-day supply of maintenance medications at an Exclusive Choice pharmacy or through the convenience of CVS Caremark Mail Service.

The letter will be personalized, listing the participant’s drug options that can be filled as a 90-day supply based on the medication he or she is currently prescribed.
