FutureMe: An Enhanced Well-being Experience Coming in 2023

Starting January 1, 2023, cooperatives participating in the NRECA Medical Plan will have access to a redesigned and enhanced well-being program: FutureMe, powered by NRECA. The redesign is driven by feedback gathered from co-ops, as well as research conducted with co-op employees and the broader marketplace.

FutureMe offers your co-op the opportunity to support the physical, mental and financial well-being needs of your employees and their dependents in ways that are meaningful to them, using a single platform and a more streamlined and customized approach.

NRECA is expanding its partnership with WebMD as part of the redesign; participants will continue to have online access to a broad spectrum of services and tools, such as a personalized health risk assessment, health coaching, challenges, webinars and other educational resources.

Electing FutureMe rewards
FutureMe rewards will give your co-op the flexibility to customize a well-being rewards program by choosing from among reward tier and incentive options.

FutureMe rewards must be elected during annual renewal (August 11 – September 23) using the Benefit Plan Renewal and Rating tool on the NRECA Employee Benefits website.

If your co-op chooses to offer FutureMe rewards, it can select from among four reward tiers, which range from introductory to outcomes-based and are differentiated by the types and numbers of rewardable activities offered. If your co-op currently participates in the Rewards for Life program, it will automatically default into Tier 3, which most closely aligns with Rewards for Life; however, you can change tiers or choose no rewards. If you opt out of FutureMe rewards, your co-op and employees still have access to other FutureMe services and tools.

You can also choose to provide employees and their dependents with incentives for completing certain activities (incentives can vary based on employee category). Incentives can be used as credits to shop in an online rewards store for healthy lifestyle-related merchandise and gift cards. Incentives are the responsibility of each co-op, and co-ops will be billed for the incentives redeemed by their employees, and their dependents, if applicable.
