Reminder: Register for “To Retire or Not Retire (This Year)” Webinar on September 15

If you have employees who are approaching retirement in the coming months, be sure to encourage them to register for the September 15 webinar, “To Retire or Not Retire (This Year): Understanding Your RS Plan Benefit.” The program will be hosted by Monty Bilkert, a planner on the Personal Investment & Retirement Consulting (PIRC) team.

The webinar will walk through some of the many factors participants should consider when weighing a retirement in 2022 versus 2023, particularly when Retirement Security (RS) Plan benefits are involved. For example, this year’s rising interest rates may be one factor for participants who intend to take their RS Plan benefit as a single cash payment. The webinar will cover other variables that can influence a participant’s benefit, and it will also touch on retirement decisions for 401(k) Pension Plan participants.

The webinar will be held from 1–1:30 pm, Central time, and a recorded version will be posted afterwards on the Employee Benefits website.
