Don’t Forget: Distribute and Acknowledge 2015 401(k) Safe Harbor Notices

If your cooperative sponsors the NRECA 401(k) Pension Plan with the Safe Harbor provision, you should have already received your final 2015 Safe Harbor notice. The deadline for distribution is November 28, 2014.

If you haven’t already, please give the notice to 401(k) Plan participants right away.

Acknowledge distribution
Please acknowledge distribution by sending a copy (exactly as you distributed it, including attachments) to the benefits compliance team. Either fax it to 703.907.6409; Attention: Linda Thompson-Henson or email it to linda.thompson-henson@nreca.coop.

Confirming that you’ve distributed your Safe Harbor notice is a critical step in maintaining plan compliance. NRECA must keep accurate distribution records to comply with federal regulations, so please help us by acknowledging distribution of the notice.
