Donate Now: Co-ops and NRECA Partner in Support of Children and Families

By now you’ve heard that our 2020 Interact Conference has been canceled, but not to worry, we’re still bringing you key information through an engaging four-part webinar series, Benefits & HR in Focus that begins on July 21!

When you go onto cooperative.com to register for one, some or all of the webinars—you’ll notice that we’ve incorporated a key element from our Interact Conference, the community service event, into our virtual conference event. We aren’t able to bring the unified power of co-ops demonstrating our shared “Concern for Community” to our conference’s host city in person this summer. However, we do have the ability to come together virtually in support of an organization that can benefit many local communities across the country.

NRECA has partnered with Feed the Children, an organization that has locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Feed the Children provides food and other resources to individuals and families. With the crisis brought by the spread of COVID-19, families in communities across the country are struggling. Providing help to those in need is more important than ever.

Involve your co-op’s employees by sharing this video and the secure donation link.

NRECA and our business partner, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), will each be matching total donations up to $10,000. That means, our co-op community has the opportunity to support Feed the Children with a $30,000 donation to aid in the continuation of their important work. Donations are being accepted now through August 7, 2020. “Children and at risk families are among the groups most affected by the pandemic disruptions this year. This is a great opportunity for us to collectively demonstrate the strength of our commitment to co-op communities through this virtual volunteer event. NRECA and our business partner UHC felt it was important to lead the way with our promise to match co-op donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000 from each organization. Our combined donations to Feed the Children will have a direct positive impact on to many of your communities across the country. NRECA and UHC are proud to be part of this important effort,” said Peter Baxter, NRECA’s Senior Vice President of Insurance & Financial Services.

We look forward to virtually seeing you during one or more of the webinar events and appreciate your support of our Concern for Community opportunity.
