COBRA Administration by UMR

If your cooperative hasn’t submitted its annual renewal yet, there are many resources available on Cooperative.com to provide more information about COBRA administration by UMR and how to elect it. If you have already elected COBRA administration by UMR for your co-op, be sure your election is finalized by completing and sending the COBRA Set-up Information (CSI) form to UMR within seven calendar days of submitting your co-op’s first medical proposal. Also, complete and send the COBRA Administrative Services Agreement (COBRA ASA) to NRECA within 30 calendar days of submitting your co-op’s first medical proposal. Co-ops that fail to submit both the CSI form and the COBRA ASA will be removed from COBRA administration by UMR and remain responsible for the administration of COBRA.
