Annual Base Salaries Data Collection Period Opens September 6

The annual base salaries data collection period runs from September 6 through October 14, 2016. Letters were mailed in early August requesting that cooperatives submit their salary data through the NRECA Employee Benefits website. This information is an important part of our annual process for calculating coverage, premiums and billing rates for NRECA’s salary-based benefit plans.

Even if your co-op does not offer any of our salary-based plans, such as life insurance or a pension plan, please review the accuracy of non-salary information. This includes your employees’ names, Social Security numbers, employee types and employment status.

Remember, the annual base salary is an employee’s hourly pay rate as of November 15, 2016, multiplied by the number of hours the employee would regularly work during 2017.

Please refer to your co-op’s letter for detailed information about which types of pre-tax and after tax contributions should (and should not) be included, compensation that is not included and how to address situations such as employees on disability or leave of absence. Additional information is on the Annual Base Salaries Information page of the Employee Benefits website.

The timely submission of your salary data helps us accurately calculate your co-op’s 2017 benefits premiums in advance of the open enrollment period. Please be sure to submit your co-op’s annual base salary data through the website by or before October 14, 2016.

>>>If your co-op is unable to provide the salary data prior to October 14, please contact the Member Contact Center to provide the date the data will be submitted.

If you have any questions, contact the Member Contact Center at 866.673.2299 or contactcenter@nreca.coop.
