Acknowledge Distributing 2022 Group SPDs and SMMs

March 1 was the deadline to distribute your cooperative’s 2022 NRECA Group Benefits Program summary plan description (SPD) and summary of material modifications (SMM) documents. Don’t forget the final step, which is to complete all outstanding distribution acknowledgements by March 15. Outstanding acknowledgements are listed under the “Documents Requiring Acknowledgement” header on the Group Plan Documents page of the Employee Benefits website.

If your co-op has outstanding acknowledgements, you will receive a distribution reminder via email around April 1. Thereafter, the benefits compliance team will begin reaching out individually by phone to benefits administrators at co-ops that still have pending acknowledgements. In anticipation of these deadlines and to keep the plans in compliance, be sure to finish your distribution acknowledgements before March 15.
