2016 Group Program SPDs and SMMs Available

Your 2016 NRECA Group Benefits Program summary plan descriptions (SPDs) are now available on the Employee Benefits website. A Message Center alert was sent in December directing users to the documents. SPDs for plans with special or exception designs will continue to be deployed during January and will be posted by January 31.

Once you receive the SPDs, review them for accuracy and then distribute them to participants by March 1, 2016.

Tips and reminders
New SPDs were issued for all Group Program Plans this year, even for co-ops that did not change their plan elections during annual renewal. A summary of 2016 changes by plan is available on the Employee Benefits website.

Distribution acknowledgment is required. As soon as you give out the SPDs to employees, fill out the online distribution and acknowledgment form for each plan. A link to this page was in the Message Center alert issued in December.
