125 and HRA Plans: 2024 Documents Now Online

For cooperatives offering the 125 Plan or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) plan in 2024, the sample plan documents, guides and forms you’ll need for the next plan year are now available on the Employee Benefits website.

Keep Friday, September 29 on your calendar—that’s the deadline for sending completed plan documents to Cooperative Benefit Administrators, Inc. (CBA). Getting your documents returned on time will ensure that your plans are ready for open enrollment, which runs November 1–30.

Why you should download new documents for 2024
Your co-op may offer tax-advantaged plans each year, and you may have copies of the necessary materials saved or printed. But each year, many of these documents are updated by NRECA, so you’ll have the current, correct versions only if you download them each year from the Employee Benefits website.

Visit the 125 Plan and HRA pages and scroll down to Actions and Resources to get the materials you need.

Which documents do you need?
Whether you’re adopting a new plan, keeping the same plan(s) or making changes to your existing plan(s), the fliers Making Changes to Your 125 Plan and Making Changes to Your HRA Plan will tell you exactly what’s required.

Note: If your co-op sponsors a 125 Plan, whether you are making changes to your plan or not, you must submit a payroll calendar each year for each subgroup administered. Pay dates in the payroll calendar must all be in the 2024 calendar year. Look for more information about the open enrollment process in the coming weeks. If you have questions about adopting plans, plan changes or open enrollment, contact CBA at 866.673.2299, or email cba.fsa.hra@nreca.coop
