Webinar Recording Available and Other ACA Tax Reporting Information

The recording of the webinar ACA tax reporting for the 2018 tax year is online. Check out the webinar, presentation and question and answers.

Final data report
The final data report, which was released on January 14, is available through the Message Center. The report was provided to all cooperatives in the NRECA Medical Plan and to those that sponsor a health reimbursement arrangement administered by Cooperative Benefit Administrators. Report notifications were sent through the Message Center to the primary benefits administrator, as indicated in NRECA’s records, for the subgroups he or she administers.

If you haven’t done so already, check the Message Center for your co-op’s report.

ACA tax reporting deadlines
As a reminder, complete ACA tax reporting for the 2018 tax year by the following deadlines:

  • February 28, 2019: Deadline to file tax reporting returns (Form 1095-B or Form 1095-C) and transmittal forms (Form 1094-B or Form 1094-C) with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by paper
  • March 4, 2019 (extended from January 31): Deadline to provide Form 1095-B or Form 1095-C returns to employees and other covered individuals as applicable
  • April 1, 2019 (extended from March 31, which falls on a Sunday): Deadline to file tax reporting returns (Form 1095-B or Form 1095-C) and transmittal forms (Form 1094-B or Form 1094-C) with the IRS electronically. Electronic filing is required if an employer is filing more than 250 returns. Information on how to register and file electronically is available on irs.gov

As noted, the IRS extended the deadline to furnish forms, and no further extensions are expected to be granted.
