What’s New in the NRECA Benefits App

We’re excited to share some updates that recently rolled out with the latest iteration of the NRECA Benefits app that’s now available in the Google Play and Apple stores. If you’ve already downloaded the app, be sure to update the version to access these new features.

A Smarter Retirement Security (RS) Plan Experience

  • Personalized RS Plan information now provides benefit content based on a participant’s eligibility and status, just like the NRECA Employee Benefits website. Whether a participant is working towards satisfying their eligibility period or earning their first year of benefit service (or has begun distributions), their RS Plan module serves content providing insight to their benefit in these scenarios.  

Easier Access to Benefit Plan Documents

  • Documents matched to enrolled or eligible benefit plans. Whether it’s a summary plan description or summary of material modifications, participants can easily access these documents online through the app (and website!).
  • View documents in the app: Plan documents open securely within the app and support common formats like PDFs and Word files, so there’s no need to leave the app.

Accessing employee benefits information on the go has never been easier! Whether your participants prefer the NRECA Employee Benefits website or the NRECA Benefits app, we’ve developed resources available in the BA Guide to help you promote awareness and usage of both.
