Wellness Focus in 2020: The Four Stages of Change
In 2020, we’re transitioning our wellness-centered communications from prevention (2019) to a focus on the stages of change. This is a behavioral model that breaks down the process of making change into stages.
Our hope is to inspire positive behavioral changes, help NRECA Medical Plan participants believe in themselves and become resilient.
Before each quarter begins, look for materials and resources for you to share with your cooperative’s employees about ways to form healthful habits and why it’s important.
Here’s a breakdown of the stages of change and when we’ll send communications:
- First quarter: Preparation (see below)
- Second quarter: Action (March)
- Third quarter: Maintenance (June)
- Fourth quarter: Relapse and Resilience (September)
To kick things off in 2020, share these infographics to help your employees prepare for healthful changes:
