“Value of Benefits” RS Plan Materials Are Online

Are you looking for new, more effective ways to help explain and promote the Retirement Security (RS) Plan to current and prospective employees?

If so, look no further than the Value of Benefits page in the BA Guide. Five new resources have been added to help you more easily convey why the RS Plan benefit your cooperative offers is phenomenal—whether you’re communicating during the interview process or with employees already participating in the plan.

Based on your requests for short videos that will capture employees’ attention, a two-minute animated spot was created to show why the RS Plan is an asset to anyone who participates in it. You’ll also find fliers that highlight key points—for example, Five Things to Know About the RS Plan, and Pension vs. 401(k): What’s the Difference?

Another flier, A Benefit Too Important to Overlook, shows sample benefit amounts that could be earned by “average” participants in different scenarios: a full-career employee, one who leaves the co-op mid-career, and one who joins the co-op mid-career.

Finally, an infographic, For New Hires: How an RS Plan Benefit Can Grow, illustrates the potential benefits for an employee who’s hired today and how that benefit can accumulate whether they work a partial or full career at the co-op.
