Updated Prescription Drug Resources Available on the Employee Benefits Website

The new year brings newly updated prescription drug benefit materials available on the NRECA Employee Benefits website to reflect previously announced pharmacy benefit changes.

The Prescription Drug Price Shopping Guide includes new specialty drug costs for 2023, plus refreshed cost comparison examples and updated resource information. There are three versions of the guide, one for each tier under the non-high-deductible health plan, or “PPO” plan (3-tier coinsurance, 2-tier coinsurance and 3-tier copayment). The guide highlights price comparisons of prescription drug fills—based on drug tier, pharmacy network used and 30- or 90-day supply—designed to help participants save money.

The three PPO plan versions of the Prescription Drug Handbook also have been updated with the 2023 specialty drug costs. You can download and print the handbook, or you can order printed copies. Be sure to replace (if need be) and share the shopping guide and handbook at your co-op.
