The Find Care & Costs Tool Now Provides More Customized Cost Estimates
The Find Care & Costs tool on the Employee Benefits website now provides customized out-of-pocket cost estimates for all medical procedures and services. Previously, the tool provided cost estimates only for 500 commonly used procedures and services. NRECA Medical Plan participants can use the Find Care & Costs tool to:
- Find in-network providers.
- See customized cost estimates, based on their current deductibles and out-of-pocket coinsurance maximums.
- View quality ratings and provider reviews based on patient feedback.
Note: There may be a discrepancy between what the Find Care & Costs tool displays and how much a participant has paid toward his or her deductible and annual out-of-pocket maximum, if outstanding claims are being processed. Participants should be aware that their estimated out-of-pocket costs may change as this information is updated.
New navigation
Along with the expanded service, the navigation for Find Care & Costs has also changed. After clicking “FIND COST ESTIMATES” on the Find Care & Costs landing page, medical plan participants should select the link for the type of health care—medical or mental (behavioral)—they are seeking and then follow the steps to find results based on their search criteria.
