Rewards for Life Participants Moved It
Congratulations to all who completed the Rewards for Life® program’s Make Your Move challenge. The POWER Wellness team is proud of everyone who participated.
A record-breaking 1,602 participants were challenged to be active doing an activity they love for 15 days over the course of the challenge. Over 81% (1,308) achieved that goal—and received points in the Rewards for Life program. Very impressive!
In total, Make Your Move participants achieved several milestones, including:
- Over 7 million active minutes, which equates to over 4,900 days or 19 trips to Mars
- 469 people were active every day of the challenge
Additionally, ten lucky challenge participants were selected
at random to receive a $100 gift card. The winners were:
- Robert Bivens, Arizona Electric Power Cooperative
- Jeremy Chappell, GreyStone Power
- Stacey Brown, Washington EMC
- Rachel Sullivan, Decatur County REMC
- Sean Foley, Tipmont REMC
- Mark Thompson, Carteret-Craven Cooperative
- Dorolie Peters, Wells REC
- Lisa Smith, Broad River Electric Cooperative
- Christie Dyson, Santee Electric Cooperative
- Victor Salamy, Western Farmers Electric Cooperative
NRECA’s POWER Wellness team congratulates the winners and every single participant for putting in the effort to improve their health and well-being!
We hope you’ll be up for our next challenge opportunity, Slash the Sugar, which challenges registrants to improve their health by eating only one or no sugary foods each day. Rewards for Life program participants will receive an email in late May with more information. The Rewards for Life program is an incentivized work site wellness program available at no additional cost to all cooperatives that participate in the NRECA Medical Plan. If your co-op would like to enroll in the Rewards for Life program to participate in a challenge, your co-op must be enrolled at least two weeks before the beginning of that challenge. To learn more, email wellnessprogram@nreca.coop.
