Reminder: UMR to Process 2014 W-2s for Employees Who Received NRECA Disability Benefit Payments

UMR now produces year-end W-2 forms and sends them directly to all employees who received NRECA long-term or short-term disability benefit payments in 2014. A W-2 form will be issued for both taxable and non-taxable benefit payments. Cooperatives participating in NRECA disability plans do not need to do anything.

W-2 form processing, along with filing and paying both the employer’s and employee’s portions of FICA taxes were part of the enhancements to the plans implemented on January 1, 2014.
