Reminder: Submit Employee-Paid Medical Premiums Data by February 13

If your cooperative has subgroups participating in the NRECA Medical Plan, you have just over two more weeks to submit required data about medical premiums paid by your employees if you haven’t done so already.

As previously communicated, NRECA must collect the total dollar amount of premiums paid by NRECA Medical Plan participants, including COBRA beneficiaries and retirees, during the 2025 plan year.

Please provide this information through the Employee-Paid Premiums event on the Employee Benefits website by the end of day (11:59 p.m. in your local time zone) on February 13, 2026.

Note: The amount you submit should only include premiums paid by participants, not any premium paid by your co-op. If your co-op pays 100% of the premium, you should enter $0.

As a reminder, the total you provide should not include any of these amounts:

  • Premiums for non-NRECA medical coverage.
  • Deferrals for vision, dental, disability or other non-medical insurance coverage.
  • Contributions made by employees to tax-advantaged accounts such as 125 Plan health flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements or health savings accounts.

Remember, you can continue to correct and edit your data after you’ve submitted it, up to the deadline.

Thank you to those who have already submitted your information. If you have questions, send an email to coopemployeepaidpremiums@nreca.coop. You also can contact the Member Contact Center at 866.673.2299 or contactcenter@nreca.coop.
