Recapping FutureMe Challenge No. 1, Previewing Challenge No. 2

Seize the Zzz’s—the first FutureMe, Powered by NRECA™ challenge in 2026—is in the books, and the second challenge, Wellness from Within, is just around the corner. There’s still time to register your cooperative if you’re not signed up.  

Participants got more Zzz’s
More than 1,600 participants from 118 co-ops registered for the Seize the Zzz’s challenge, which ended in March. The challenge emphasized the importance of getting a good night’s sleep; 1,450 accomplished the challenge goal of tracking their sleep for at least 21 days of the 28-day challenge.

Employees at co-ops enrolled in FutureMe rewards received points for completing the challenge. Additionally, 10 challenge participants were selected at random to each receive a $100 gift card and $100 to give to the charity of their choice.

Wellness from Within
The Wellness from Within challenge runs May 6 through June 2 and encourages participants to boost their emotional well-being by taking tech breaks, expressing creativity, practicing meditative breathing and focusing on social connectedness.

If you elected a FutureMe rewards tier for 2026, your co-op is automatically eligible to participate in the challenge. If not, your co-op can register by emailing the NRECA FutureMe team at futureme@nreca.coop by April 6.

If your co-op is participating, your employees who are registered on the FutureMe portal will receive an email in late April from WebMD inviting them to join the challenge.

Encourage your employees to participate by using the flier, poster and monitor ad found under the Resources section on the FutureMe challenges page. Additional ways to motivate and support your colleagues include hosting a kickoff event or offering small giveaways. If you have questions, email the NRECA FutureMe team at futureme@nreca.coop.
