PCORI Fee Correction – NRECA Employee Benefits Weekly

The PCORI fee is $2.66 per covered life for plan and policy years that end on or after October 1, 2020, but before October 1, 2021.

We previously announced the fee as $2.54 per covered life in the May Benefits Bulletin and the June 30 issue of NRECA Employee Benefits Weekly. That fee, however, applied to plan and policy years that ended on or after October 1, 2019, but before October 1, 2020.

Sponsors of fully-insured health plans as well as certain self-insured health plans, including health reimbursement arrangements and non-HIPAA-excepted 125 plan health flexible spending accounts, must pay the fee. The PCORI fee is due July 31, 2021.
