New Caremark.com Feature Sends Alerts on Prescription Drug Savings

A new feature is available on caremark.com that alerts NRECA Medical Plan participants to money-saving opportunities for their prescription drugs. The alerts are sent by email to participants based on the communications preferences they select on the CVS Caremark™ website.

If a participant spends $15 or more for a prescription and has the chance to save $10 or more, CVS Caremark will email the participant with savings options. This includes starting prescription drug delivery by mail, switching to a 90-day supply or changing to a lower-cost alternative medication.

Additionally, a new personalized “Drug Savings Opportunities” page on caremark.com instructs all participants currently on prescribed medication how to save on their prescriptions.

Participants can create an account on caremark.com by going to cooperative.com > My Benefits > My Insurance > Manage Your Prescriptions. Caremark.com allows participants to check drug costs and coverage, manage refills, request new prescriptions and more.
