Medicare Part D
2014 Medicare Part D Training Now Open
Please complete your training by September 30.
Each year, Medicare requires all cooperative employees who work with NRECA Medicare Part D plans to take compliance training and to provide a conflict of interest disclosure. Training must be completed by September 30, 2014, before the Medicare Part D open enrollment period begins.
Who must be trained?
Anyone who works directly or indirectly on Medicare Part D plans must be re-trained annually. This is required even if CVS Caremark handles the billing for your co-op.
How can I complete the training?
There are four ways to complete this required training:
- Online: NRECA’s computer-based training course covers compliance policies for NRECA’s Medicare Part D plans and how to detect and report fraud, waste and abuse. You can complete this easy-to-use program in 30 to 60 minutes. At the end, you will take a multiple-choice, 12-question quiz and then complete the acknowledgement form and a conflict of interest disclosure to be certified for the year
- Webinar: NRECA will offer Medicare Part D compliance training webinars during 2014
- BBTC: Medicare Part D training is offered each year at the Basic Benefits Training Course (BBTC). The 2014 BBTC will be held from June 9-12 in Arlington, Virginia
- INTERACT Conference: Training will be available at the 2014 INTERACT Conference this August in Miami and Chicago
Watch Benefits Bulletin and I&FS Weekly for more information on these training opportunities.
