Letter Encouraging 90-Day Prescription Drug Fills Being Mailed
CVS Caremark®, NRECA’s pharmacy benefit manager, will mail a letter later this month to NRECA Medical Plan participants who are getting 30-day supplies of their maintenance medications filled at retail pharmacies.
The letter will encourage participants to switch to a 90-day supply, which typically costs less than three 30-day supply prescriptions at preferred pharmacies. These include Exclusive Choice and Extended Day Supply retail pharmacies and the CVS Caremark Mail Service. The letter will list the participant’s current maintenance medications that are eligible for a 90-day supply but are currently being filled as a 30-day supply.
For more information on preferred pharmacies, participants can visit the About Network & Drug Coverage page on the Employee Benefits website. They can also locate preferred retail pharmacies using the Pharmacy Locator on caremark.com. Exclusive Choice and Extended Day pharmacies are identified as a “Preferred Pharmacy” in the Pharmacy Locator.
If participants have questions or need help, they can also speak with a CVS Caremark Care representative at 888.796.7322.
