2021 Interact Conference Materials Available
The 2021 Interact Conference debuted online earlier this month with over 900 attendees, breaking the conference’s attendee record! Attendees took part in informative and engaging sessions, learning about upcoming NRECA benefit program enhancements, workplace law developments and the importance of finding common ways to work within diverse environments. Legislative insights were shared during a panel discussion and the funny, yet informative closing speaker, YouTube star Tripp Crosby, shared the importance of taking time to pause and reflect in order to develop bold, innovative ideas.
NRECA staff, vendor partners and attendees maximized use of the online platform with morning coffee chats for networking, well-being breaks to recharge and even an afternoon trivia session! Twenty co-ops submitted entries detailing how their co-op’s employees demonstrate the Seventh Cooperative Principle as part of the conference’s Concern for Community Challenge. Five finalists competed for conference attendee votes for their chance to win a donation on behalf of their charity from NRECA and UnitedHealthcare. The $10,000 grand prize was awarded to Whitewater Valley REMC to benefit their “Shedding Light on Hunger” program. The remaining finalists, East River Electric Cooperative, Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Medina Electric Cooperative and Community Electric Cooperative, each received a $2,500 donation to benefit their charity.
If you weren’t able to attend this year’s event or missed a session, individuals who registered for the event are able to access recordings of the sessions through the Interact Conference’s event platform. Copies of the benefits track presentations are available as PDFs on the BA Guide’s Interact Conference page. If you have any questions about content presented during the conference, reach out to your local field representative or the benefit services team.
Be sure to save the date for the 2022 Interact Conference when we’ll gather in Phoenix, AZ July 10-13 and New Orleans, LA, August 7-10. Registration will be announced in a future issue of NRECA Employee Benefits Weekly.
