HealthEquity Waives Administrative Fee for HSAs

NRECA is excited to announce that as a result of our negotiations with HealthEquity, a provider of health savings accounts (HSAs) for many co-ops, monthly administration fees will be waived in 2026.

Administrative fees have historically been levied on a monthly basis. We recognize that some co-ops pay this fee on behalf of their participants, while others pass the fee onto their participants, based on the structure of the co-op’s benefits program.

To announce this change, HealthEquity will soon be issuing emails to co-ops that pay the administrative fee and will send emails to participant account holders who pay the fee.

NRECA is pleased that the result of our negotiations provides additional savings for co-ops and benefit plan participants alike, ensuring dollars remain invested for the future use of co-ops and account holders.
